Preparing for warmer weather

With warmer weather ahead, it’s time to think about how we can prepare, and to learn about the signs of heat-related health conditions.
Some symptoms of heat-related health conditions can include:
  • Headache
  • Muscle cramps
  • General exhaustion
  • Weakness
  • Dizzy spells
A few things you can do to prepare for hot weather:
  • Use shade cloth
  • Check your fans and air conditioning are in working order
  • Prepare ice trays
  • Make kibble ice-blocks for your pets
During extreme-heat days be sure to check on the vulnerable, and encourage them to stay inside and out of the heat as much as possible.
