What could be better than a rainy day at the Lifeline Bookfair, where you can take your time to browse through several pavilions of books. Our volunteers were at the Lifeline Bookfair, held at Exhibition Park in Canberra from 7th-9th February 2020, to provide First Aid services. They really enjoy this event and the opportunity to support Lifeline.
Our lovely Val is pictured showing off some beautiful, classic Australian children’s books – just some of the great reads that were up for grabs 📖📚
This event is the largest gathering of book-lovers in Canberra, and raises a major portion of the funding Lifeline Canberra need to keep the local crisis support service running.
There is a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books, including rare books and collectables, children’s books, textbooks and foreign language books, plus magazines, sheet music, comics, maps and atlases, talking books, records and CDs, DVDs, games and jigsaws – it’s no wonder this has become a popular event!
