As of 7pm today (Friday 17 January) the Dickson Relief Centre is closed. The combined efforts of numerous volunteers and organisations have ensured that more than 380 people received assistance.
The centre has seen families who needed immediate support for basic and complex needs, and we’re pleased that these families were able to have a meal and find a comfortable place to sleep, as well as being able to find emotional support at a very distressing time.
Should anyone arrive at the centre now that it’s closed, there will be information sheets available on where they can find support.
Thank you again to our volunteers, and to the many wonderful people involved who were on hand to provide support.
